Types and differences of grooved pipe fittings
When grooved pipes are connected, we need to use grooved pipe fittings. Speaking of grooved pipe fittings, according to their different functions, the most common ones are grooved pipe joints, grooved pipe fittings, and branch pipe joints. What are the differences in actual applications of these types? How to distinguish them?
1.Grooved pipe fittings: Grooved pipe fittings are the general name for elbows, tees, crosses, reducers and other pipe fittings used in grooved connected pipeline systems. Grooved pipe fittings are shown in the figure. The joints of grooved pipe fittings are processed into the same annular grooves as the joints of pipes.
2. Branch pipe joints refer to saddle-shaped joints used to connect branch pipes after opening a hole in the middle of a straight pipe. There are two types: positive tees and positive crosses. The connection methods with branch pipes are groove connection and threaded connection. Positive tees are mechanical tees, and positive crosses are mechanical crosses.
