Camlock, or cam and groove fittings, are a quick connect system used to couple at least one hose to a pump or pipe, as well as to attach other camlock hoses together. Camlock couplings always require one male adapter and one female coupler. They are designed to be easy to use, with no need for thread sealants or tape to create a seal. Instead, cam lock seals are created by the rubber gasket. When closing the arms on the female coupling, the rubber gasket is compressed by the male adapter, which creates a pressurized connection. This action prevents leakage.
Cencho are exported all over the world and different industries with quality first. Our belief is to provide our customers with more and better high value-added products. Let's create a better future together.
Standard camlocks are categorized as Type "A", "B", "C', "D", "E', "F", "DC" or "DP".
The primary applications are for when frequent connecting and disconnecting is necessary. Or, when in use with a low-pressure system. The most common applications are agriculture, oil and gas, pumps, military, and sanitation.
The most common types of camlock fittings are aluminum, brass, polypropylene (plastic) and stainless steel. Camlocks are also made from cart iron, copper, ductile iron, galvanized carbon steel, plated carbon steel, nylon and food grade.
Camlocks are used in all industries. They are sometimes referred to as a cam and groove coupling. They are versatile and ideal couplers for many projects.
Camlocks connect two hoses and/or pipes together so material can be easily transferred between them. They don't require tools to connect or disconnect the hoses. There are no threads connecting the halves together so the connection won't become dirty or damaged.
In agriculture you will see camlock fittings used as hose connectors on sprayers. They can save time refilling tanks and are good for water transfer. They are also useful when moving acids.
Any pumping job will benefit from camlocks used at the inlet and outlet connections of pumps.
Camlocks are standard connections for hoses used in fuel delivery. One benefit camlocks offer is nearly removing the risk of cross threading.
Industrial cleaning is made easer and quicker with camlock fittings. Because camlocks work hand in hand with hoses, the hoses can be easily disconnected for storage or for removing blockages.
Your choice of camlock should be stainless steel if its going to be used in highly corrosive areas or with acid and alkali media. A stainless steel camlock coupling will have a clean inner wall, which helps to avoid impurities, condensation, bacteria breeding, peculiar smell production and media pollution. Stainless steel offers great temperature resistance; it can work safely for a long time between extreme temperatures (-30°C to 230°C). Its a stronger, more durable option for special jobs where pipes may move or you need extra strength. And of course it resists corrosion and is so easy to maintain.
Choose bronze camlocks - bronze is one of the oldest alloys - for water or wastes in certain corrosive environments such as around marine salt water, or where the couplings must be non-sparking, such as in marine fuelling applications. It can also be used in deep well operations and in the shipbuilding industry.

Use aluminium camlocks in low-demand fluids such as fresh water and oil-water combinations. It can be processed into various profiles because it has good plasticity. It is also an excellent electrical conductor and thermal conductor. Its usually lower cost and is corrosion resistant.
You will need to know which type of camlock you need, which is specific to the type of connection you need to make. Here are the different camlock types and below you will see images of each type. The images shown are bronze camlocks, but camlocks come in many different materials to match the job.
A: male adapter with a female thread
B: female coupler with a male thread
C: coupler with a hose tail
D: coupler with a female thread
E: adapter with a hose tail
F: adapter with a male thread
DC: dust cap for adapters
DP: dust plug for couplers
