A mobile jaw crusher is a track-mounted primary crushing machine that’s easily moveable on and between production sites. They are used in aggregate production recycling applications and mining operations. Their purpose is to crush down large materials into smaller ones, this can be hard rock, granite, limestone, sandstone, concrete, or demolition, resulting in a useable product that can be either used, sold, or incorporated into a secondary crushing procedure to produce smaller sizes.

The design of the crusher body ensures that it's capable of withstanding bending and fracturing stress even when crushing the hardest of materials.
This refers to the swinging jaw and achieves the reciprocating movement through the eccentric motion of the main flywheel hhaft which creates an enormous force in each stroke.
Directly opposite the swinging jaw which is attached to pitman, both swinging and fixed jaw and normally made of manganese which is a very hard metal. Both jaws when worn can be flipped to extend their life span.
The flywheel is the heart of the rotational energy needed to feed into the eccentric shaft to maintain rotational inertia as the jaw crushes material.
Normally there are four bearings on the eccentric shaft, two on each side of the crusher body supporting the main shaft and two at the end of the pitman. The bearings are normally tapered roller bearings.
The bottom of pitman is supported by the toggle plate, which allows the bottom of the pitman to move up and down with the motion of the eccentric shaft, also serves as a safety failsafe for the whole jaw to prevent further damage should any uncrushable material enter the crushing jaws, designed to bend or even break if necessary.
Without these the bottom of the pitman would just flop around, these ensure the pitman is firmly fixed to the toggle plate. The toggle seats are fixed points where the toggle plate contacts the pitman.
Crushed material size is achieved by adjusting the opening at the bottom of the jaws, different jaw crusher models can have shim plates, and others have wedges moved by hydraulic rams.
These are wear plates that protect the inside of the crusher body during the material being crushed.
Crushers are powered by either a diesel engine, diesel hybrid, or fully electric depending on model.
Material is loaded with the excavator into the hopper which then heads along the vibrating feeder tray and over the pre-screen dropping into the crusher body, the swing jaw motion compresses the material against the fixed jaw and the processed material falls out the bottom dictated gap that’s been set, then onto the main belt. Heads up the main belt, on most there’s a magnet cross belt that will take out any metals in the processed material, finally dropping out from the top of the main belt into a stockpile or into a secondary crusher, depending on the material size required.
