1. Production process (coating)

Coating a layer of butyl acrylate pressure-sensitive adhesive on BOPP, the production process is called coating, which is quite simple!

2. Base information of the coating machine

The size of the coating machine is relatively large, and the coating machines on the market are not only different in width, but also in length due to different design speeds. According to statistical data, there are currently 0.5m, 1m, 1.3m and 1.6m domestic coating machines, among which 1.3m is the most common, accounting for about 80% of the national use; 0.5m and 1m are mostly manufacturers It is used for printing and printing tape; the 1.6-meter coating machine has only gradually flourished in recent years. The length of the coating machine is 30-40 meters (designed for drying glue).

3. Coating process (squeegee + wire rod)

The coating machine has two coating processes, wire bar and doctor blade. The doctor blade is a traditional coating process. Its advantages are: it can obtain high smoothness and gloss; its disadvantages are: it has higher requirements on the original film and the glue coating speed is relatively slow. As a coating process that has just emerged in recent years, wire rod has the advantages of low requirements on the original film, fast glue coating speed, and can adapt to coating with high solid content; the disadvantage is that the adjustable range of coating amount is small , the metering rod is easily damaged, and the quality of the glue is high. Each craft has its own shining point, the two crafts can only coexist, and neither of them can be eliminated.

4. Coating speed (process differences)

The production process of the coating machine is divided into the wire bar process and the scraper process. Generally speaking, the production speed of the wire bar machine is faster than that of the scraper machine. According to statistics, the current production speed of the wire rod machine is 250-260 m/min, 280-290 m/min, some can reach more than 300 m/min; while the production speed of the scraper machine is 220-230 m/min, 180-190 m/min, 150 m/min, and even some old lines around 100 m/min. Therefore, the production capacity of each coating machine is quite different.
